Set the tone that this is written specifically for MANAGERS, because a manager doesn’t just own their own calendar — they set the rhythm for eight, ten, fifteen others. Preview Module 1 (why it matters, the payoff, the four moves, and the Prioritize + Focus frameworks) and flag that Module 2 goes deep on the 3-3-3 method, daily habits, and leading the team’s time. This is the slide that earns attention — lead with the three ideas and make each personal. 80/20 (Pareto): about 80% of the team’s results come from 20% of the effort, and the trap is spending the best hours on the wrong 80%. The multitasking myth: cite Stanford directly — the brain does one thing well; what we call multitasking is really context-switching, and every switch is a tax on focus. The deep-work window: introduce 3-3-3 as a teaser (three protected hours a day for the work only they can do) — it pays off in Module 2. Then raise the stakes with the cost of poor time management (missed deadlines, stress, lost revenue, and — most damaging — eroded trust with customers and inside the team). Frame this slide around three audiences so managers see time management is not a personal productivity hack — it is a leadership dividend. For YOU: the headline is "the calendar stops running you" — less stress, sharper focus, fewer last-minute fires, and (the one people undervalue) more capacity left for people, not just tasks. For the TEAM: a calm team ships more than a frantic one — higher productivity, better quality (focus beats hustle: fewer errors, fewer redos), cleaner collaboration without tempers flaring, and breaks that people actually take. For the ORGANIZATION: faster results and credible deadlines, plus lower burnout risk — sick days down, retention up — and a pleasant environment people recommend. Drive the "three-way dividend": the same behavior pays out three times simultaneously. Talking point: "Notice ‘focus beats hustle’ — the goal is not more hours, it is fewer wrong ones." Engagement prompt: "Which payoff would your team feel first?" Timing: ~3-4 min.

This is the mental model learners should carry out of the program — teach it as a sequence, not a menu. Plan: get the whole week’s deliverables and deadlines onto paper and SHARED — the key phrase is "not stored in your head," because a plan only in your head can’t be prioritized or delegated. Prioritize: choose impact over noise using frameworks (Eisenhower, 80/20, not-to-do) so the tools pick and you stop guessing — we go deep on this next slide. Focus: give the day a shape with time blocking, batching, Pomodoro, and the 3-3-3 rhythm — the throughline is "one at a time." Finish: close the loop — track what happened, delegate what shouldn’t be yours, and recognize what worked. The most important point is the arrow at the bottom: the moves run in ORDER — skip Plan and you’ll prioritize the wrong list; skip Focus and Finish never comes. This is the most tool-heavy slide in Module 1 — slow down and teach all three frameworks. Eisenhower Matrix: two axes (urgent vs. important) make four boxes with one action each — Urgent+Important = Do first; Urgent, Not Important = Delegate; Important, Not Urgent = Schedule; Neither = Delete. The insight most people miss is that "Important, Not Urgent" (schedule it) is where real leadership work lives, and it’s the box that gets crowded out. 80/20: hunt for the vital few — give them the exact question to ask: "If I could only do three things this week, which would have the biggest ripple effect?" Not-To-Do List: the counter-intuitive winner — naming what you will NOT do changes behavior more than another to-do list; the "try this" is three items posted next to the monitor this week. Land the warning hard: "The wrong priority done fast is still the wrong priority." Talking point: "Ten minutes of sorting saves an afternoon of the wrong work — prioritize before you touch the keyboard." Once the list is right (Prioritize), the day still needs a SHAPE — not just a start time. Teach each technique with the slide’s own "try this." Time blocking: assign each hour to a specific task before the day begins so the inbox stops dictating the schedule — the starter move is to block one 90-minute deep-work slot tomorrow and decline anything that competes. Pomodoro: 25 on / 5 off, and after four rounds a 20-minute break — it manufactures urgency while guaranteeing rest; mention the 50/10 or 90/15 variants for longer flow. Batching + Eat the Frog: group similar tasks (emails, approvals, 1:1s) into one focused session, and start the day with the dreaded "frog" before it eats you; the rule is email in two windows, never all day. Land the warning: context-switching is the tax you pay for a shapeless day — blocks, batches, and Pomodoros are three ways to pay that tax less often.
